OPs has probably the best GB logo tattoo I’ve seen. There’s this guy that goes to my gym that has a gnarly [slimer](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/characters/slimer) sleeve. it rules. Small GB logo tattoos are a waste to me ---

The logo was done backwards intentionally,it’s also the exact same size at the patches on the uniform. ---

the GB logo can be either way around so neither is wrong. ---

I didn’t say it is wrong. I think it’s actually pretty neat. But it is backwards, per how it appears in the movie. ---

I was chatting with my tattoo artist about about it and we both thought it would be cool to go against the norm and do it mirrored since there seem to be a fair amount of the fans with them. ---

this looks weird to me, am I the only one? ![image](http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/8402/cctu0.jpg) same goes for any logo ![image](http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/6031/gbvr6.jpg) but just cause there’s no text in the basic GB logo doesnt mean it can be flopped either way - the no ghost logo was designed a certain way, as all logos are - if you want to reverse it for a tattoo or something personal thats fine, but for someone to say that “the GB logo can be either way around so neither is wrong.”, that seems cuckoo to me… am I the only one that thinks this way? maybe because in my line of work (graphic design) I see client logos all day long, and I know which way they should be and which way(s) they shouldnt be… ---

The logo was flipped for the International release. ---

The “no” logo was mostly a European thing at that time, and that direction of the sign is how they did it. So technically from a graphic meaning point of view the original is wrong . ---

boy, Im getting it from all sides today… the patches in the movie have the red bar going across the ghost from lower left to top right (the ghosts left shoulder) isnt this the correct method to show the logo? ---

It was flipped to the way generally it is always seen and accepted today because originally they added the title GHOSTBUSTERS in the red crossbar. When it was flipped like the original European symbol, the text didn’t look right in the version slanting down plus I think Europe didn’t think we should mess with the symbol which I think is why we see it that way too. Very cool tattoo either way I think! 🆒 Slanting up, the text in the crossbar looks better. It can be weird looking at if you’ve seen the logo all your life the “right” way. ---

joeghostbuster i believe you misunderstood me. i wasn’t saying that because a logo CAN be flipped its ok to have it either way. i ment i have seen the GB both ways. i always thought the movie logo was a mirror to the RGB logo (of course this theory goes as far as the video box/poster as the logo is always the same once we get to ecto and the uniforms etc) but to me having the image “bacwards” reminds me of movie vhs box and poster etc and the other way reminds me more of the RGB toys packaging etc. haha weird ay! so what i was saying was as the logo has been officaly used BOTH WAYS then you can have the logo either way you want and its correct (just not upside-down!)
