that is a sad picture. how old is it? didn’t they use the same car for Ecto-1 and Ecto-1A? ---

The Ecto-1A is in the same shop that restored the Ecto-1. Give it time. ---

She is currently being restored and Sony doesnt want nobody to see her till she is 100% done… Ecto-1 was suppose to be a surprise but thanks to leaks it we all found about it before Sony said anything offical. The picture was taken a few months after it got back from Universal Orlando ---

While on our recent Ecto Across America trip, we stopped in at Cinema Vehicle Services in an attempt to see the 1A. The answer we were given was that Sony had backed out of the operation as CVS was in the middle of replacing the 1As powertrain. We were then given an extensive tour of the facility (pictures can be seen in the EAA thread itself) and the 1A was nowhere to be seen. That said, it looks like restoration of the 1A has been put on hold indefinitely. ---

Then I guess now it is a matter of where the damn car has been moved to, or if it perhaps has been dissembled. ---

Wonder why they stopped the restoration! Did you hear anything about why, Boomer? Seems strange they’d do one car but not the other one… though I guess if they just wanted the Ecto-1 for TVG promos, I guess they’d have no need for the other car now. Shane ---

They had no need for the other car. If Sony wanted to say.. give me the car, we could do a public restoration. ---

Something tells me there still working on her, granted she wasnt at the shop but still. From the last reports, I herd CSV didnt want nobody to see 1a due to Ecto-1 was suppose to be a surprise but due to leaks that wasnt the case. I see if I can find anything out and if I do I’ll post it. ---
