i keep getting this message after i try to edit a post i just made: “You cannot make another post so soon after your last; please try again in a short while.” its an annoying pain in the ass, can you get rid of or something aj? ---

It’s the post timer. Most message boards have them built in to prevent someone from going spam crazy. ---

I can see limiting the amount of posts someone can make within a period of time; it prevents trolls from flooding the boards with junk. What I don’t see is why edits should count towards that. They aren’t separate posts, and it’s really obnoxious when you’re forced to wait around before making a correction or addition. ---

I’m not certian why editing a post also triggers this… I’ve not dug into the phpbb code enough to figure out why. ---

I am keeping the timer on for posts. It is needed for posting, to kind of cut down on the short posts one after the other. I will do some coding and get rid of it when editing. I always get caught up with the “flood” timer when I edit posts. ---
