Was Dana’s husband the guy from Ghostbusters who she was with when she bumped into Peter, the “stiff” as Peter referred to him as? This would make sense because he was certainly not please with Peter (Jelousy perhaps) and she described him as “one of the finest musicians in the world” and I’m pretty sure that guy would have been able to secure a “very good job with an orchaestra in london” Interesting thought perhaps? ---

In one of the interviews she did, Sigourney revealed that Dana’s husband was indeed ‘the stiff’. ---

That’s the suggested idea, that she went back to the stiff after things for the Ghostbusters died down. ---

Nice piece of info there. That always boggled my mind. But did Dana cheat on the stiff with Peter? We know she cheated on him with Lewis due to the fact that they were possesed. ---

Ah, so my thinking was logical She didn’t actually cheat on Peter with Louis, they wern’t actually dating, because they were only organising a date and nothing had come of it, as Peter him self said, she was his “would-be girlfriend” so they wern’t actually a couple ---

I was saying dana cheated on the stiff with Peter AND Louis. Not on Peter with Louis. I always thought of Dana as a ■■■■■. lol :boogieman: ---

Why would she be cheating with anyone? As far as it looks she didn’t appear to be in a proper relationship with the Stiff until after she broke up with Peter. ---

While it has never been verified in-story, there are two main sources that basically say, yeah, The Stiff is Dana’s ex-husband and Oscar’s Dad: [Sigourney Weaver](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/sigourney-weaver) herself mentioned it on the [Arsenio Hall](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/arsenio-hall) Show, referring to the character as “Mister Nose Spray” It comes up in the commentary track of the GB1 DVD too, I believe in the part The Stiff appears in. While never given a name on-screen, and only referred to as “Violinist” in the GB1 credits, the [Richard Mueller](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/extreme-ghostbusters/richard-mueller) novelization of GB1 does give the guy a name: Andre Wallance. Which means, then, that Dana’s son’s birth name is presumably Oscar Wallance. 🆒 --That poor little hot dog. Some of us fan fic guys have been using the name for a few years now. ---

That kid sure did have a hard time from the batt then? His mother was a dog, his father was a stiff he was named after a hotdog…and then he was choosen to be the “vessel off a living god” ---

Sigourney/Dana is gorgeous i know i would then & as she looks now What other film was she in where she had blonde hair, was that Galaxy Quest?? She looked hot in this film, wish i was the costume fitter on her wardrobe hehe ---

There may very well be more to the story, but based on that I couldn’t blame her for leaving him. Of course, if you throw in the cartoons and/or 88MPH ideas, Venkman wasn’t broke and down on his luck at the time, either. In my own mind it played out a lot like the _[Ghostbusters: Legion](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/publications/comics/ghostbusters-legion)_ mini-series, except Venkman doesn’t make the right decision at the end and make up with her–instead he stays away, she marries Andre, ect. ---

But anyway… That’s always how I saw it too, that “The Stiff” was Oscar’s father. I never knew that Sigourney confirmed it years ago, so thanks for the update, King.
