GOOP is always a winner. It practically glues everything.

you can always use a reinforcement pin with the glue.

Sand the surface you want to glue it to, then sand the resin piece. Use two part Epoxy and there you go.

You could run a recessed screw in from the inside of the trap. If you want to go glue only, you could take the above suggestions a step further and drill little dimples onto the back side of the knob and the area on the trap you want to glue it to. Push the epoxy glue into the dimples then put the pieces together. When it hardens it will be like many tiny fingers holding the knob on.

Use set screws, drill and tap, screw into place. Forget the glue

Tension Pins also work really well. They also allow you to turn the knob after its attached 🙂
