After looking at my pack belt today it finally hit me: am I using the “right” belt for my alice frame? I can’t help but feel that it’s just a bit thicker than what I need. Also, an alternative to buying a new kidney pad/waist straps is you can modify what you already have to have the buckles from GB2. I had a very hard time finding the LC-2 waist strap they use in GB2. I have an ALICE pack that had the same buckle that you currently have and i hated it. So what I did was I purchased one of these: From a surplus store near me for $7. And I removed the buckle from it and put it on my ALICE pack’s kidney pads: ![image](https://discdn.gbfans.com/original/3X/2/6/260c7e361df6deed31ef79593cfaf195a20771e9.jpeg) It isn’t completely screen accurate BUT its way better then that crappy black buckle that was one it to begin with. So, as a cheap last resort, you could also try this. ---

I have some big ass plastic 3 prong clip, totally not accurate. Good idea with the strap there mburkit
