i thought of that, but was wondering where to get the fabric from? How easy/difficult was it to stitch on, i found putting my loops for my MT500 and my L flashlight a particular pain in the ass

I use safety pins to clip my flashlight and radio to my straps, and as far as padding goes, I found close-to color fabrick that way sticthing wasnt an issue, and I used velcro to attach them, so that way i only had to stitch a small amount to the straps.

I hope to move my strap padding out of beta phase soon, I will be using actual olive drab fabric ( I got at a surplus store ), I’m still working on getting the padding juuuust right , and hopefully making them available to all my shoulder weary fellow Gb’s.

But they need to be finalized first

You need to head over to [http://www.tacticaltailor.com/superstraps.aspx.And](http://www.tacticaltailor.com/superstraps.aspx.And) invest in the super straps these things are awsome!!!

Upgrade your old rucksack straps with our improved Super Straps. Our Super Straps are twice as long as issue straps and are made with 3/4" foam padding for added comfort with heavy loads. Super Straps are contoured to fit your shoulders and feature an adjustable sternum strap to help distribute weight. Available in Coyote Brown, OD and ACU.

And you may wanna invest in one of these aswell!!

Our Super Belt replaces the issue kidney pad used with the [ALICE pack frame](https://www.gbfans.com/shop/alice-pack-frame-lc-2) but with a number of improvements. Most importantly, our Super Belt utilizes 1.5" padding for maximum comfort. Other features include a dual adustable front buckle and side webbing attachment points to allow additional modular gear to be attached directly to the belt. Two easy to use adjustable buckles replace the awkward ‘ratchet’ style attachment system on the issue kidney pad. The Super Belt is a must have for anyone seeking more comfort and durability with their ALICE or MALICE Packs. Available in Coyote Brown, OD and ACU.

LC-2 straps are the shit man. A lot more padding, and are as easy as the LC-1 to put on. I love them on my rucksack which carries over 25 pounds a day for 7 hours.

Ya, after a full day of wearing the pack and going to an 80’s party with em it’s definately time to get some military issue straps. My problem is the straps are causing my [flight suit](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/uniform) to bunch up under my arms and chaff like crazy, as well as bruise a bit.

The waist strap did help but the damage was still done to my shoulders.

Thanks for exchanging ideas, folks.

I sawa Nick-a-Tron foam styrene pack today. Those are he shit. It looks fantastic and it was SO light.
