Is there any trick to getting the colored tubing on to the barbs? I am having one HELL of a time with this.

You can heat the ends of the tubing in some hot boiling water, or very carefully use a lighter to heat up the ends, then slip them onto the barbs and allow them to cool. They should then shrink down over the barb and create a nice tight fit.

If you don’t want to worry about ruining the ends of your tubing with heat. Dab a tiny amount of dish soap on the barba and the tubing will slide right on.

On my alkline shell I just put on gloves and used a lighter on the end the tubing before sliding it on.. even if u burn it black a little bit, you can smear it in for a very natural weathered effect
