I see far more complaints that go “why did you start a thread when we’ve already discussed this? use the search function next time” than I’ve seen praise for those who actually looked up what interested them and commented in the proper spot.
I say, better necroposts than redundant threads. We can’t pithily complain about both.

It’s a great prop that deserves praise so it’s good that it’s bumped back up for people to see. So at least there’s that.

Since this is already bumped (and if any prop deserves it, it’s this one), did anyone ever happen to find a new source for the FC2 Electronic Effects board? I’ve been kicking around the idea of making one of these myself, and I can’t seem to find one of them anywhere.

As for the thing on the side, maybe it’s 5 of the ± parts of a breadboard broken off and reattached? It looks like wires fit into it like a breadboard.

How did you attach the controller to your belt? Would you be willing to share a photo? Where did you find the sticker on the back of the controller?
Is there a hi-res of the pic on the back of the controller?
I don’t think a shot of the front of the controller prop has ever surfaced.

The prop recently resurfaced as set decoration on the Frozen Empire firehouse set along with a number of other original props from various GB movies so it should be much easier to replicate that particular label now.

Looks like they may have redone that sticker since the filming of the sequel - handwritten in this photo vs printed in the movie. Also, there was no power cord on the one used in the movie…i’m assuming this is a reproduction?

Sticker definitely seems to have changed in multiple ways since 1989 (text, spacing, positioning), but it’s still possible this is the original (or at least a spare made at the same time). I think the “power cord” you’re referring to is just the cables for the controllers, makes sense that they’d keep them with the prop even if they weren’t used in the film.
