With the game models looking like the actors, could this finally means 3D plastic versions of the boys be on the way? We all know this is long over due. ---

Its more than possible, there have been a number of toy lines based on games like Resident Evil, Metal gear Solid and Final Fantasy, seeming that Ghostbusters is still one of those franchises that after 20 years since the last movie they are going to make a game (the movie and not based on any of the more recent comics or cartoons) id say its likely ---

hopefully they dont look like the characters they showed for the wii version. ---

I don’t see why they wouldn’t. I’m sure they’d be a big seller. Star Wars is coming out with a whole new line of action figures to go along with their “power of the force” game…ghostbusters should take notes. 🆒 ---

maybe more then toys? I know that Diamonds select is pushing the Back To The Future franchise - with new toys and replicas. heard of a 1:1 flux capacitor to head the market next year. I’d like to see similar stuff from Ghostbusters 🙂 ---

Last I heard about it, [Bill Murray](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/bill-murray) was still holding out on using his likeness. And as we all know, it’s no good to put out a Ghostbusters line of figures without Venkman, or with a Venkman that doesn’t look like Bill. ---

I know nothing about the law and likeness rights but if you were to make figures based off of [the video game](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/games/ghostbusters-the-video-game) wouldn’t you get permission from the people who hold the rights to the game? The developers got persmission to use the actors likeness to create digital models so wouldn’t it be up to them whether or not to let toys be made from their models? I have no clue, I’m just hoping for a legal loophole. ---

I read that thread and there are some good points but it seems that Murray could give the OK this time seeing as he is cool with the likeness for the game but even that still remains to be seen. If they did do toys, I hope they have the srticulation of a Marvel Legends figure.
