I was just going to post a thread to show off my customs and repaints as I finish them, but I figured it might be a good opportunity to encourage others to show off customs and repaints they’ve made as well. So if you’ve got an action figure that you’ve repainted or modified in some way to make a custom action figure, by all means, post it here! Here’s the first of what will hopefully be many repaints I’m doing to make action figures of my favorite characters into members of the Green Lantern Corps. Since Green Lanterns hail from virtually everywhere, I figured it’d be cool to extend that coverage to other universes… such as Marvel. First figure I chose to repaint… the Marvel Legends Gambit. Found him at Texas Comicon, no box or accessories, I coun’t myself lucky that he came with the coat. Gave him a new metal staff made from a section of aluminum tube I had leftover and made a quick and dirty playing card with a GL symbol on it… I’ll make better cards for him later, I promise. Paints used were just cheap acrylic paint you can find in the Walmart craft section, can’t remember the brand name. Nice! I’ll keep the GL theme going with something a did a while back, It is a custom job of Kyle Rayner the second time that he was Ion. Uploaded with [ImageShack.us](http://imageshack.us) Uploaded with [ImageShack.us](http://imageshack.us) The original figure was a Marvel Legends Quicksilver, for the bangs I used a few glove blades from an old Batman toy that I had. I have a couple more repaints and touch-ups I’ve done that I’ll add later 🙂 ---

Nice job on modding the hair. Didn’t know it was altered from it’s original form until I read the whole post. Looking forward to seeing your other figures 🙂 Wish I had more pictures to post, but I’ve been so busy with family that I haven’t found a new figure to “add to the Corps”. Maybe I’ll hop on evilbay and grab a Marvel Legends Rogue to go with Gambit while I make him some better cards… ---

LOL.. she loves my custom stuff, and wishes Id do more of it. That angelica head was actually from a coin purse, or somethinbg along those lines. Since the body is Spawn’s Angela, Angelica’s head made sense. Vampi is in scale with the retro action guys as well, BTW. I think I completed a 12" custom of her as well that would probably fit in with the 12" guys. ---

Instead of using mego bodies, I use the newer famous cover bodies. I have a butt load unopened as fodder, and the 9" scale was quite popular for some time. They even sometimes fit in with 12" figures.
