Are there any tutorials or can someone give me some proven directions on how to dye a khaki suit to a nice shade of GB1 gray? Thanks.

Not really a tutorial, but I asked the same question at [Proptopia](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/fans/websites/proptopia) and received a bunch of helpful info.

The gist of the suggestions was…

> the washer to max with hot water, add proportionate salt, and set on spin
>
> cycle. Add dye, and let mix. Then add the suit, let the spin cycle run, and

> lighten a bit.

> I’m sure about the dye and it’s portions, just not the actual process.

I also added laundry detergent to the mix, per the direction on the Dye box.

For my suit and pads, I used 2 boxes grey, 1/4 (or so) box black, 2 cups table salt, and 2 tablespoons laundry soap.

Let it mix for a bit, shut it off and stuffed in my suit and pads. Let it all sit (make sure you submerge the suit completely with a coat hanger…) for about 1/2 hour, then finish the cycle, including full rinse.

Then scrub the washer’s lid after it’s all done so your significant other doesn’t murder you in your sleep. 😃
