Hello GB’s,

I need some clarification on the parts list for the electronics listed in the [Proton Pack](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack) Light circuit.

The current list is:

2 x 4015 (Dual 4-Stage Shift Register IC)

1 x 4017 (Decade Counter IC)

1 x NE 555 (Timer IC)

18 x BC337 Transistor (or BC547B or 2N4401)

1 x 50k Potentiometer

1 x 50k 1/4W Resistor

20 x 10k 1/4W Resistor

1 x 10 F Electrolyt Capacitor

1 x 1 F Electrolyt Capacitor

1 x 0.0 1 F Ceramic Capacitor

18 x 6V 40mA Light Bulbs

Optional (Recommended)

3 x 16 pin IC socket

1 x 8 pin IC socket

Are there particular mfr or p/n’s available? I sent this list to an electronics shop and they could not price out the resistors and caps because of “insufficient” info.

Do you have any recommended electronics dealers?

Any recommendations on the sound aspect. I would like to try the Radio Shack 9V recording module. Anyone have luck with this adding sound effects to their packs?

Thanks from a GB Newb.

Then that electronics shop is run by a bunch of idiots, and that is being honest… Sorry to say but there isn’t anymore info that they need that isn’t included on that list you posted…

I have cross referenced most of the parts here…

Radioshack carries this thing called a micro controller, or something along those lines. Basically it could be used to run the pack lights, but they’re 80 bucks. Plus the fact you’d still need wire, battery holders, led’s and such. I might get one for my pack though, as I get a 30% discount as I’m an employee, and I get that 30% on radioshack manufactured parts. Just a thought though, as it plugs into a computer and is programmable, and could probably be used to just plug the led’s into for the [power cell](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/power-cell), then just run wires to the [cyclotron](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/cyclotron). Just a thought.
