One day I hope to see all my ideas come to life. Think most of them live only in my head. That being said, I am toying with the idea of making a 1/6 scale Firehouse. Found some threads on the board that give really good information as well as blue prints on how the different floors are set up. The reality is that I have no where to put something that size really anywhere in either my house or my parents house so I have been thinking of really just making part of the Firehouse. Would love to add in a 1/6 scale Ecto but know that no such creature exists. Had thought about doing either a pepakura Ecto or finding a 1/6 doll car and stripping it down to the basic frame and build it up from there. If I am understanding it right the Firehouse is three floor plus the basement? For now everything is still in my head so hopefully I will get something produced in the near future for my 1/6 figures.

The Firehouse is indeed three stories tall, not including the Basement.

Both the LEGO version and the depiction of the Firehouse in _[Ghostbusters: The Video Game](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/games/ghostbusters-the-video-game)_ created versions that were inspired by the interior location (a Firehouse in Los Angeles that was twice as long as the one in New York), but were modified to fit the proportions of the exterior location in Manhattan.

Wow. Didn’t know that about the interior aspect of the LA one. Thanks.

hi there redfive, I am in the process of building one myself to display my [mattel](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/toys/mattel) ghostbusters, I am only concentrating on the ground floor and upper second floor myself but will be doing a separate basement level once I have the main bit completed and on my split down shelving unit.

Would be interesting to keep in touch on these projects, exchange notes and ideas etc?

I’m ya huckleberry. Be happy to. I just scored last night at my local Second and Charles four boxed 1/6 WWII figures to complete out my Combat tv show diorama so I am excited about working on both dios. If I am understanding correctly you are doing each section on a shelve multiple levels?

well kind of, as it is at the moment i am building it up following the same principle as a doll house but i was struggling for ideas on where I am actually going to put this massive wooden box lol, i thought if i split my plastic shelving unit in 2 parts i can space it evenly over the top of the 2 units and there will be essentially 2 empty spaces underneath which would be the bottom shelves so i thought just as an after project i can deck it out like the basement 🙂

this is a fairly new hobby of mine and there are some amazing craftsmen on here, much more talented than i am at this sort of thing, especially where accuracy is concerned but I’m confident I can make a decent enough job for my own use lol.

One idea i did have was to make sure theres a big hole in the roof that i can open and shut any time i like and also all the windows i aim to make see through, when the box is closed up of a night time (I have 3 cats and no doubt one of them will try to sleep in it lol) i would have a pink set of lights on the inside so it looks like the rooftop explosion where pecker lets all the spooks out, what you think?

And good luck with the WW2 dio, please do send me some pics 🙂

Love the set up you are making. Very solid with using the entertainment center peg boards or whatever they are called.

Yeah those little battery operated lights have limitless possibilities in their use. I got a few packs of them for different props. Site I get some of my lights from for both props and decorations is [http://www.christmaslightsetc.com](http://www.christmaslightsetc.com). Thanks for the heads up on them.
