Foam ghostbusters trap.

Thanks I modded it a little for Halloween, here is what I did.

I cut the bottom out and hooked a bag on the trap so my son was able to use it as his trick or treat bucket. He just loved having his candy dropped inside.

wow jamie, I will be makin some of these they look great. how durible is the trap?

Well the one I made for my son was used all halloween as a candy bag topper lol, it was taken to school and played with by him and his friends all day, it was taken to a halloween party and dropped on the floor during the tug of war competition and it still looks like it did when i first made it. Mine I dropped while trick or treating and kicked it onto the road before I noticed. I picked it up and there was no damage. The good thing is you can drop these and they will bounce before anything else.

Made one of these last weekend for my buddy wear on his belt. It turned out great. I ended using styrene for the plates and doors as well as to fill certain spots in. I Think it turned out great!

While its not 100% accurate, it’s only meant to be a belt accessory.

Also since this picture was taken, the black and sliver side knobs have been added. I modified a tape measure holder and attached the trap to it.

I love how light these things are!

what glue would you recomand to use?

This is awesome! When I was building my son’s proton pack for halloween, I saw a bunch of these foam tiles in my garage and contemplated using them to build some of the parts. I didn’t end up going for it as I still use them a lot, but I am definitely going to build my son’s play trap out of some of this. Then he can throw it around like he sees in RGB and not have to worry! Glad to see this works!

Looks great!

wow this just proves that you can build just about anything out of this stuff. For those who dont know what the material is this is EVA (anti-fatigue) foam,(recently made popular by Evil FX with his Mass Effect armor build) usually comes in packs of 4 for around $10 to $20 a pack (I’ve build an entire paintball armor suite out of just 4 sheets!). One thing that really helps with cutting this stuff is a soldering iron with a razor attachment, or a hot knife; it will cut this stuff like butter and gives super clean edges! this still looks great and will definatly build me one out of this stuff.

where can you buy this foam?
