I understand that a new Ghostbusters theme song was created for GBTVG which was never released officially. Was it ever posted on [gbfans.com](http://gbfans.com)? ---

It was from a group called Pumps and it’s titled “Ghostbusters III” and I’ve heard a few different stories about it. I’ve heard they made the song and sent it to the developers to have it featured in the game but it didn’t work out. I’ve also heard it was made in conjunction with the game to be used in a montage but it didn’t work out. I do know the song, re-edited with dialogue from the game, was on youtube but it vanished for a while. I don’t know if it’s back up or not. Also don’t know if it was pulled by Sony or the band. Really catchy song. It’s not a variation of the [Ray Parker Jr.](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/ray-parker-jr) song or based on any music from the movies that I’m aware of. Has a nice upbeat, retro feel to it. ---

Anything posted on the internet once becomes public. Thats why Sony could do nothing against the people reposting the contents of the email hacks, and companies like the profile engine do what they do with your outdated facebook data. No one is gonna care, it would be great if you could put it up for us. ---

Joe Luna: I had the same problem on IoS devices. I downloaded it to a windows pc and the built in media player plays it fine 🙂 ---

I’ve got the song myself, I actually was subscribed to their YouTube channel but after that song released they went inactive. Unfortunately it also seems their account got hijacked and all the videos (including the Ghostbusters one) were deleted and replaced with one ad-ridden garbage video. Wish I knew what happened to them. ---

To my understanding it had to do with the band not being signed under Sony. (or anyone for that matter) Basically it was an unsolicited fan submission that we absolutely loved. Kyle Richards had time to help with the mix and added official GBTVG sounds into it. Sony didn’t like it but it was never clear if it was for the reason above or because they simply didn’t like it. I wanted to use it in a montage during the game, but we never had time to properly create one. ---

Just downloaded this, keeping it forever in my collection. Piece of Ghostbusters history that is going to be forgotten for sure by most people. I think the MUSIC itself is AMAZING… seriously what in the… omg it’s awesome lol. The lyrics though… WHAT the \*\*\*\*??? lol I really don’t like it. I do love how the sirens and Ray, Egon, & Peter all cut in on it though. It’s awesome. “Ghostbusters are waitin’” … seriously what? The more I learn about the history of this game, the more it breaks my heart that SO much of it was lost to developement hell and red-tape. The new music… The customized characters … The extra multiplayer levels… Multiplayer on PC… The Thanksgiving level… That CROWD mechanic… The extra suits… ALL THE DIALOG… It makes this buster wanna cry :;( ---

The song has really grown on me and would have been a nice addition to the game. ---

That’s why the lyrics don’t make much sense. They basically just added ‘Ghostbusters are waitin’’ to the song. There used to be a ‘behind the scenes’ video of the PumPs singing the original song, but all their stuff seems to be taken offline so I can’t find it.
