We just went back to the drawing board this weekend. Some of the dimensions were not working out. We created a new water jet cut file and I’ll have a new version to show tonight.
From what I’ve been told, we are being too critical on the dimensions but hey…it’s what we do.
Updates?
I’m looking forward to one as well.. But, you can’t rush quality and accuracey. 
postmortem will update when he gets a chance, it’s only been about two weeks since the last update.
You must be a close personal friend of (and are in constant contact with) postmortem.

Actually, as far as I’m aware I’ve never actually conversed with him.
I’ve posted in his stead because, as a fellow prop builder, I’ve found in my own experiences in building a Trap, a full week or more can easily slip by between updates… in my case there are times I like to group the smaller ones together so that there’s more “bang for your buck”.
Post will update the topic when he’s able, his last visit was on the 19th of last month, so I’d wait until a month or more had passed before starting to get worried about the project not getting finished.

The correct indicators are Arcolectric 1041 red for the rear instrument bar and white for the lamp next to the top vents.
the correct light caps are what can be found in the GBFans store here commonly referred to as “hat lights”
your build is looking very clean so far good luck.
postmortem01 is a very busy man and really doesn’t have time to visit the forums as much as I do,So, I’ll post an update.
We have been hard at work trying to refine these.
We are currently on Ver 10.
Ver. 10 looks very similar to the above pictures, but we have amde a few changes here and there to make these as accurate as possible.
It is still a work in progress.

Well, Sorry for the delayed updates. We’re just going into version 11. I believe this will be our final version. Holy crap. I hope this is our final version.
This version will alter the entire construction of the gun body. The bend on the top side of the gun body will be created by the tube instead of an actual bend in the material. We’ll see how this works out. I’ll post pictures later this week. Slave1pilot and I will probably get to work on these this weekend.
Alright. Back to the drawing board. The bend will match up to the rear handle tube but not be part of it.
Slave1Pilot and I have been posting progress pictures up on the gbnerds site. We’ve been working on a few things besides the Proton pack and thrower body.
I gotta tell you…I’m tired of making this particular part. The leg host connector doesn’t seem to be that critical of a part but we are into version 5 of it right now. You can see the rubber casting next to the master.
The rubber hose connector has a stainless armature embedded into the casting.
This will be the final idea of the usage…please excuse my picture with double image.

So Slave1Pilot and I have been working on this aluminum thrower body project for a few weeks now. It’s turning us old. Every time we finish a version, we find something else to tweak. We decided to go ahead and assemble an older version of the body to get a better understanding of the assembly and how parts are going to fit.

I have one of these bodies and im chuffed to bits with it. I love the welding job on the handle. When you have the final design etc worked out would I be able to send the gun box back to have any welding that needs doing?
I don’t see why not…
