Monday, November 1, 2010 More good news on the ghost busting front as Production Weekly is reporting that they’ve heard Sony’s [Columbia Pictures](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/uncategorized/columbia-pictures) is aiming at a May 2011 start date for [Ghostbusters 3](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/ghostbusters-3), which would put it as part of their monster 2012 line-up. It was reported last month that Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky’s latest rewrite was approved, with a little help from producer/star [Dan Aykroyd](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/dan-aykroyd). As of this writing, [Ivan Reitman](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/ivan-reitman) will direct with Aykroyd, [Harold Ramis](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/harold-ramis), [Bill Murray](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/bill-murray), [Ernie Hudson](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/ernie-hudson), [Rick Moranis](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/rick-moranis) and [Sigourney Weaver](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/sigourney-weaver) returning to star. I find that really hard to believe, especially the parts about [Rick Moranis](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/people/rick-moranis) returning and “Peter and Dana’s lovechild”. Grain of salt. ---

Surely they already did, they dated, got used to each other, Peter lost a lot of his interest in her and she moved on, marrying the Stiff. ---

The type of guy Pete is, if he had sex with Dana within a time frame that could have made him Oscar’s father surely he would have made some joking comment along the lines of “You’re sure he isn’t mine?” whether he believed he was or not. ---

I’ve become so skeptical about this that I simply refuse to believe anything until we get something more official from Sony as an announcment. But I think we are closer in a way to having a third film than before. ---

I’m not believing it even if i were in a theatre on december 2012 and the words GHOSTBUSTERS III will appear right in front of my eyes. In that case i’ll call the movie owners and i’ll tell them that is not possible that they’re showing GB3.
