I’m expecting a possible title reveal for the animated series. With all the focus on Netflix at the moment, I feel this may not be the place for the announcement of a new live action sequel. Perhaps it gets announced in 2027 and releases in 2029. And if the animated film were to come out in 2028, we could pick up real momentum once again. But that one could take longer.

They said the initiative surpassed its $500,000 fundraising goal then “Golden Trap” awards were presented to the three chapters that raised the most money for local causes: Buffalo Ghostbusters ($67,000), Los Angeles Ghostbusters ($65,000) and Ghostbusters Virginia ($30,000). A $150,000 matching donation check was also presented by Jay Levine, EVP, Chief Strategy Officer & Business Operations at Sony Pictures, alongside Reitman and Kenan, to Adam Garone, CEO of Starlight Children’s Foundation, on behalf of Sony Pictures, Starlight Children’s Foundation and “Ghostbusters Give Back.”
