Going by the ST '85 - GB comparison I did, the next thing that will revealed is the title. Could be as early as this coming Saturday but with the GB Day weekend festivities coming up, probably on June 6 or 8.
A small detail I forgot aboutā¦and given what I saw had no dialogue or text I can only speculate. What I saw was a group of young folks (probably meant to be college age but hard to tell) entering the firehouse to talk to Ray.
But someone had what I can only describe as, wellā¦a ghost hand.
For some reason, the first thing that reminded me of was the later drafts of GB3 where the new team were mostly postgrad students studying anti-matter and CERNās discoveries which then leads to a ghost surge. The mid-90s was right around the time CERN was trapping anit-matter particles successfully. The ghost hand makes me think of experiment gone wrong. Intriguing nonetheless.
If this is going to be set in the 90ās do we think that the Extreme Ghostbusters will be making an appearance alongside this new team? It would be nice to see that team in a new style of animation to be introduced in a later season. If the post grad students frequent the university and Egonās teaching classes.
Iām not the biggest fan of the new logoās mouth. But I love the title, and the implication that this night shift may be dealing with some dark, twisted entities.
Yes! Called it. They are loosely following the same pattern as ST. Ok, so weāll get some descriptions from people at Annecy, then a teaser and some voice cast revealed by November if it continues to follow the same route.
Title implies a whole new team. This looks like it could be something in the style of Hotel Transylvania. the logos new face reminds me of Frankie about to upchuck on Dracula. Iām happy we finally got proof of life but iāll be even happier if we actually get to see it. Any more major announcements today or was this the big one?
Iām not at all sure about that logo - itās very ugly, which isnāt great when itās your only piece of promo material - BUT itās very nice to hear of actual progress on actual things, and Iām not going to judge the finished product by early promo. Itās always exciting to know new Ghostbusters is coming!
Eh, I suppose. But I like that it conveys things get even scarier in the graveyard hours like Mooglie is transforming into a lycan or something. The past 3 movies had played it pretty safe with their tweaks of the classic logo so if this series wants to get a little nuts with theirs, hell yeah. Could even be part of a transformation sequence of some sort in the intro titles. But yeah, on the other hand, it remains to be seen if this is the final version. Thinking back, Extreme Ghostbusters had one that changed a little in the final look.
