Ghostbusters: Night Shift (2027)

No. We won’t get anywhere close to that. :boogieman:

We might get something similar to the merchandise Voltron: Legendary Defender had back in 2016-2018, but I wouldn’t expect a flood of merch.

I highly doubt Night Shift will get a tie in with a major fast food chain.

An Art and Making of Ghostbusters: Night Shift book, please.

I’m also wondering if we’ll get merch based on weathered 84 equipment or a whole new set of gear? I don’t think the gear will be as beat up as the Spengler pack but it would be cool if kept the same or given slight TVG mods.

I’m expecting figures of the new characters and some ghosts. I can see a toy line similar Stranger Things. At the very least on par with Frozen Empire.

Maybe an Ecto-1. They release an Ecto-1 for everything. Not that I’m hoping for another one.

imagine a stranger things cartoon crossover with ghostbusters night shift

Yeah, curious to see if Hasbro and/or Mondo will release figures.

Hasbro would be my guess, as they have the movie and Kenner Classic licences, and their figures would be retailer-friendly, cost-wise.

You’d think so… Plasma Series Frozen Empire wave

Is Hasbro even going to still have the license come next year? They didn’t announce anything new on GB Day, just a reminder of them doing the Glow Copter.

We’ll see if they announce anything at SDCC.

People need to start realizing that GB Day isn’t the be all end all day for product announcements. It’s a very small event started by the community. It is cool that Sony/Ghost Corps and Hasbro has shown up, but it is not where everything will be announced.

It does not reach the general audiences and it does not reach investors. That is why Night Shift still isn’t premiering until a bigger industry event. They need sponsors and promotions, not just a bunch of old fans picking apart every scene shown and having a melt down on social media.

I realized that last week or I should say I remembered that things can get announced at anytime not just specifically on GB Day.

The reason expectations have grown for GB Day is because in 2022 they announced a ton of stuff while Jason and Gil attended.

But ya it’s not the sole time and place for announcements. Afterlife was revealed with that barn teaser trailer.

Buffalo Ghostbusters are selling a limited amount of signed Night Shift posters autographed by showrunners Ben Hibon and Elliott Kalan, along with Ghost Corps executive producers Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan.

Cost is $100 plus shipping. Fyi, you have to add both the poster then scroll down and pick Shipping and add to cart then head to checkout.

Ship Estimate is July.

imagine if it was both 80s and 90s style toys

With Dan Aykroyd on board as a producer, if Ray and/or the OGBs appear, is it possible he may voice him?

Or do you think they’ll go sound alikes?

Maybe even bring back the RGB cast, well surviving cast.

Hmm, them seems more like a movie inspired show so I’d guess Aykroyd will reprise. He did voice him in recent material like the Spirits Unleashed video game so he’d likely still be game.

He did voice work for TVG so yeah I can see him reprising the role. Loved the Pre-Order voice mail he sent out. He’ll be game while playing the game. Would be awesome if we get an update to Spirits Unleashed out of all of this.

I certainly hope Dan reprises Ray. I feel there is a solid chance of that happening. Ernie has all but said he will be back as Winston. I don’t know what to predict as far as Murray’s involvement. My first thought is to say he won’t be in it. But if the story focuses mostly on the night shift crew, perhaps he could be lured by a minimal role. Egon’s status is the most intriguing for me.

It would be nice to see video from Annecy next week. But I’m leaning toward it being a recap from someone in attendance, like with the Tudum event. Either way, I’m counting down the days.

Kalan, Hibon, Reitman, and Kenan will do a signing at 15:30/3:30 on the day of the Netflix panel on Wednesday.

As an fyi, the panel starts at 13:30/1:30 in France so that converts to 7:30 am Eastern / 4:30 am Pacific. I don’t know what the order of projects will be but those of us in the States should be reading attendees’ posts on social media (hopefully articles, too, knock wood) in the morning at some point.

Crossing the streams it’s going to be bigger then a microchip tomorrow.

Quick question for everyone. Are we still going to watch the new series if we end up with something like Teen Titan’s Go, or Thundercat’s Roar? Oh God, please let it be 3D!
