IDW has announced three new Ghostbusters comic releases for this Fall. Oh wow, it’s nice to see Now’s old comic series getting a revival after so long. That’s definitely going to be a must-have for anyone who hasn’t been able to collect the original comics. The mini-comic also sounds like an interesting addition to the Ghostbusters world. At that price, it’s worth investigating. ---

so are they just reprinting the original NOW [Real Ghostbusters comics](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/real-ghostbusters/comics)? I thought we were getting a whole new series. still, kind of cool, I will probably order them from the gbshop. ---

I think I’d be happy if they sold well enough for a Vol. 2 with the rest of issues 15-28. ---

So this minicomic Time Scare! by Bryan Lynch is a new story set in the IDW Comics canon? ---

Being mainly focused on RGB I enjoy the [NOW comics](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/uncategorized/ghostbusters-ii-now-comics) will be printed again. This opens for a possibility that this is a check if there still is interest and ultimately something new being produced. Not that I need it to get it because of the content, got the full run, but anything contemporary brings hope.. ---

But don’t sell the current IDW series short; while the characters are drawn in the now-usual “Kinda like the movie actors but not close enough to get sued” style, the artist has a great deal of love for the cartoon and packs them with in-jokes, including a character in #8 who’s a dead ringer for EGB Egon. And in #5-7, the kid who gets possessed has Jeremy and Cindy from “Ragarok and Roll” as parents. And heck, the “Who Killed Laura Parr?” backup stories currently running feature a likeness of Venkman that looks a lot more like RGB Venkman than Bill Murray’s third cousin. But as I said recently, I’d love a single issue or one-shot illustrated in full RGB style. ---
