Have you, or any of your family, ever quoted a Ghostbuster?

So my boss tells me to do something at work the other day and I’m all like, “Oh, command me lord!”

Do you still have your job?

I was training a new guy this week and teaching him names. There’s a girl named Dana in the company and I immediately broke out in “There is no Dana, only Zeul.”

One of my friends posted a picture of stairs on facebook. I replied with “Hey, where do these stairs go?”

I posted a picture of my cat and dog sleeping together on facebook with the headline “… mass hysteria!”

Only one person got it. I’m ashamed of my friends.

My dad just said, “if the light is green the trap is clean.”

And now my 8 yr old niece who only saw ghostbusters once just said, “the flowers are still standing!”

BEST. MOMENT. EVER. Now, even my mom is getting kind of annoyed at my obsession, but a few days ago, a piece of cake crumbled on the floor and by habit my mom said “Mass hysteria”, and then I must of looked at her weird becuase then she said “Cats and dogs living together.” and I couldn’t help myself: “The dead rising from the grave!”

In science today, our teacher demonstrated how different elements reacted differently. When he lit the Magnesium on fire he said “Don’t look directly at the light.” and by habit, when he lit it on fire, I called out “I look at the light, Mr. Schmittdiel.”. Sadly, only one person got it. Mr. Schmittdiel smiled.

I try to work as many quotes (not just from GB) as possible in to the Pathfinder game I’m playing. One that comes up quite often is,

“I love this plan, I’m excited to be a part of it!”

Our DM also loves qouting various films / sitcoms. He once made an NPC discribe a tavern wench as,

“OK, so she’s a dog.”

Happened again today.

Our computers are mostly down at work and I was talking to a lady who was saying something about having to print everything out now. And she goes, “they’re lucky I print everything” and of course I reply with, “print is dead.” Haha. She got it, too.

Ah, this thread is fun. There’s a girl in my social studies class, Donna, but our teacher keeps on calling her Dana and so today I said “There is no Dana, only Donna.” She laughed for a while, and then she made me sit out for interrupting class.

I find that I tend to use Mother Puss Bucket on occasion.

At my job, at the end of the night we have to fill out a closing sheet where we check off everything we are supposed to do and got done. For the past 2 months, in the optional comments section, I’ve been putting quotes from both Ghostbusters films. My managers especially got a kick out of when my comment said “Let’s show this prehistoric bitch how we do things downtown”.

Not exactly a quote, but I didn’t want to start a new thread so anyway, on the school bus earlier in the year one kid called out to me “Hey, New Girl! What’s your name?” and he’s the kind of kid who’ll repeat your name weirdly until he eventually pretends to get it right, so, to protect my name, I said my name was Sigourney. On the ride from school, he asked me “Hey, Sigourney, what’s your last name?” and I wasn’t really paying attention, and I just heard “What’s”, “Sigourney” and “Last name” so bye instinct I said my last name is Weaver. What kind of mess have I gotten myself into? o~o

Quoting Ghostbusters?

Oh, that’s all we do day in, day out around this place.

So our DM messaged the group I play with earlier, saying he had an idea for a special festive theme for our next game, and could we all PM him our fave Christmas films. I don’t know what the others have said, but I told him that for me, it would be Gremlins. (They should be easy enough to beat in a fight when your cleric can cast a spell called “burning light” :stuck_out_tongue: )

Just now he posted a second message to the group saying, “THE CHOICE IS MADE.” I replied with, “What did you do, Ray?”

My family runs a school, but our staff aren’t exactly the brightest and tend to blow things out of proportion when a situation happens. Whenever this happens, my dad, while talking to my mom and myself, usually ends up starting with “Cats and dogs living together. Mass Hysteria!” Same goes for family drama too. I think it’s one of his favorite lines.

We usually get a couple chuckles out of it.

The first time I read that article my first reaction was “It’s always something”

Every time I hear the cats scratching in their litter box, I turn to my wife and say, “Listen…do you smell something?”

Ha! For some history day whatever the 7th graders had to do a project on the history of something of their choice and one person did the history of Twinkies and he made a giant model of one and when I walked by, I said “That’s one BIG Twinkie”
