Hello Ghostbusters Fans! I’m a Ghostbusters fan from way back. I was 13 when the first movie came out. I was a little old to get the toy [proton pack](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack) and [ghost trap](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/ghost-trap) from my parents, but boy did I want them bad. Now, 30 years later, I want to put together my own uniform with all the trimmings, including the proton pack, ghost trap and all the other bits and bobs. And this seems to be the site to go to for research into how to make this dream come true. I don’t have a lot of cash, and I need to drop a few pounds before I can look anything other than hilarious in a tan jumpsuit, but I figure I might as well start working some of the gear. I’ve downloaded all the plans for the proton pack. I’d love to talk with some like-minded individuals to talk about the project(s) and get a good idea about what the heck I’m getting myself into, and possibly pick up some tips in the process. I got my first Ghostbusters action figure when I was fifteen; I had this weird feeling like I should really be too old for this, but I wanted them all anyway. :lol: ---

That sounds about right. I used to drool over the figures, too. The nice thing about getting older is you can usually afford to get more and better stuff. Some of the action figures out now are pretty cool. Although I want to stick with the props. There’s something about the idea of strapping on a [proton pack](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack) that makes me feel like a kid again. 😃 ---
