Hi all, just a quick query with regards to the [ribbon cable](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/ribbon-cable) for the [proton packs](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack). What is the correct style/size for the cable ie. 10 way/20 way or 40 way etc…I’ve seen all these types and am unsure as to which one to go for? Many thanks, Chris p.s my pack is coming along nicely and I’ll post progress shots soon ---

I beleive someone said on the forum here that it was a 20 strip, that same guy said, and I’m paraphrasing because my memory = very no, so that means I could be wrong, he had a 25 strip cable, and removing five would make it accurate, so far as in coloring, looks kinda rainbow-ish, so many colors. ---

No, no, no! That was about the trap pedal wire, which is just flat ribbon cable–standard gray/20-pin. Good luck finding it for less than $215 per 100’ roll. Standard rainbow [ribbon cable](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/ribbon-cable) can be used in substitute–just make sure it measures 3" in width and has similar colors. The Spectra Strip “Twist N Flat” is braided-pair. Also, you need roughly 2.5’ (30 inches) of it. Brock phantom50 ---

Hey peopleee! I need a [ribbon cable](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/ribbon-cable) for my ppack, but i can’t buy it from the site, I live in Spain… Do ya know where to find that kind of cables in machines? (such as computers, cars… etc?) Thank you in advance!!
