its great and you have serious skills. But i still dont understand this trend for extending the ribs underneath the crankgen box.
Well, the lower ribs on the crank generator box did do that a little.
Some people exaggerate it a little though.
I think the best build I’ve seen so far that gets this look right would be ■■■■■■’s styrene build he is working on.
I love wooden packs… the best of the best in my opinion
honestly, I’ve just always liked the look of the longer fins, a personal touch, if you will
but to each his own you know
And I will agree Hookers fins are awesome, I wish I had his mad styrene skills
of course Its your pack and you can make if anyway you wish. If you like the look then thats what matters. Its looking really nice, looking forward to seeing more

the silver paint is rustoleum bright coat metallic finish chrome, i got mine at lowes, im sure home depot sells it to

Ahh , adding a little bit of color to the portrait… to keep you entertained, while I make actual progress is some shots of the current state. Still waiting on a handful of parts, but no worries there.
This weekend will be dry mounting the synch and other parts to the motherboard so I can start spacing out the inside for electronics and such, and finishing some more cosmetic details.

And in case your wondering about all the extra parts needed to finish, here is a shot of my chaos… lots a parts here, and lights and wires ,straps,meter, knobs,all kinds of fun stuff. This isn’t even everything, I still have more parts on order and in the mail lol.

here’s some better photos since I got my camera up and running again.
The gearbox,gun mount, and EDA have been glued and bolted together, I also attached the booster tube.
Behind it you can see the milliput on the injector tubes and HGA, and N-Filter, once dry they will be painted.
Here is a better shot of the trap currently, with its front indicator being installed today.
I also forgot to mention, back in the worksehd on that cold,cold day. It got so cold it did this… in Florida, for you northerners this is common but to me… the world is ending.
BTW… that is a sheet of ice, the small one… I couldn’t pick up the bigger one.

I coat the pieces in mod podge to seal the mdf, then sand,primer,sand,sand,primer,sand, and paint.
water + MDF = trash
Completed motherboard, drilled for attachment points for the top and bottom portions,as well as the speaker hole.
Here I have the HGa and Injector tubes mounted to the powercell as well as the bracket for support.
At least I got something finished though… even though its not part of the pack, but it’s part of the project so… it counts.

the more i read your updates the more jealous i cant just jump right into building my own.
This is looking really good! The hammered look on the paintjob really adds to the realism. It’s making me want to jump into another build too

speaker is in, powercell lens put in, gear knob installed, plus it actually rotates… for fun !!!
