you know im stealing that idea right?

fine with me, want the washer, and bolt details ?

POST 'EM!

XD

Lookin real good man

Bumper knob parts :

12 x 5 1/16 1 1/2 fender washers

2 x 3/8 1 1/2 fender washers

1 x 1/2 fender washer

1 x sticker backed black “foamie” sheet

1 x 5/16 4’’ carriage bolt

4 x 5/16 hex nuts ( or however many you would like to attach to your bumper and cyclotron )

the reason for the 2 3/8 washers is to allow room for the carriage bolts square base, so it sits flush.

assembly is easy simply layer washer then foam circle till you get to the top ; )

Now onto updates… Thrower is finished. ( Clippards are resin btw )

Trap is done…

and some new picks of the pack , the reason I have not installed the cyclotron is that my bumper will hold it on,allowing me to easily access my batteries and internal components without taking everything apart.

Those last few pictures are just full of awesomeness…

great work !

that is looking amazing

i just wanted to let you know, while i may be ■■■ pooing you for using a gun kit because im trying to emulate how you built your pack and was hoping youd do your own gun because im new to using mdf, i am really appreciative how helpful you’ve been for me throughout your whole build.

and im talkin shit about the gun thing anyway.

i thought you used o-rings for your black foamie things. what kind of foamies was it? im not familiar with it. also, just out of curiosity, did you use your own lighting/soundkit? my build this time is from the ground up, and any ideas on that would be awesome.

and while i have your attention with supernoobie questions, did you get your hoses from gbfans or some where else? im talkin about the gun to pack hose, the red/yellow/blue tubing, etc. anything i can run out and get some where and experiment with is great.

thought about using o-rings,then neoprene washers, but then I realised .99 for one sheet of foam was a better price, as for what kind…http://www.createforless.com/Darice+Foamies+Sticky+Sheet+9x12+Black/pid86347.aspx

you can find it at walmart, craft stores and etc

light kit is from proptronix

sound kit is the same as the the one in the tutorial section of this board.

split look from pack to gun is 3/4 split loom from ACE hardware

colored tubing is from master yoda here, he also has split loom tubinghttp://www.gbfans.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=14933

OUTSTANDING! Seriously spider hats off to you mate on building such an amazing pack from scratch. I LOVE the texture and that trap is one of the nicest ive seen!

Whoops, I accidently hooked up my Ipod to the pack , oh darn-it, I guess I guess I will have to deal with it

and heres another glory shot, just to mess with you ; )

Got sick of my shoulders muscles being sore after long periods of time while wearing my old pack.

so, I made some extra padding for my alice straps, since my new pack is " slightly " heavier than my old one, the padding will not completely null the effects but, it will help.

*made form a seat cushion slab of foam, covered in fabric, and attached to the straps via velcro, so that I can remove them for washing.

Fantastic Proton Pack build, and super clean Ghost Trap as well. Excellent work all round, Spider.

LOVE IT!

I’ve gotten so many ideas from following these scratch-built pack threads, that when I scratch build my next pack… I’ll do better than I did the first time.

Thanks to everyone who has done a scratch-built pack and shared progress photos, tips, drawings, and so on…

Thanks for all the kind comments guys, it means alot.

Bumper and cyclotron installed…

On a side note, it’s the little things you start to love about your pack, and this is one of them.

I got sick of my buckle being bland, so I did this…

Ribbon cable is being made this week, and that should finish this little project up.

As always, questions and comments welcome.

She’s a beauty!

Toss us a video with a sound demo and some light action!

Your buckle is now very RGB.

I don’t remember you mentioning it anywhere in the build, but I noticed you have a V-hook on the power cell. I’m assuming this will be for your trap? Are you also going to put a hook on the bumper for the trap hose?
