Hi.

My re-newed love of Ghostbusters came about when I was searching through a video SFX forum, and came across a proton stream tutorial.

Looking back it sucked-but I was impressed enough at the time to give it a crack.

With a vaccuum hose down the back of my pants, I managed to create a fairly simple beam in After Effects and decided to make the worst Ghostbusters fan film the world has ever seen!

My initial plan was to stick a whole heap of cables, computer fans and such to a beer box and paint it black for the pack, and an old curling iron for the thrower.

I never knew in my wildest dreams that there were sites such as this where so many talented people come together and are so giving with there time and ideas.

Then I made a mistake that would - and still is taking a toll on the house deposit I should be saving for.

I got excited. All of a sudden a beer box wasn’t going to cut it.

Next thing I know, I’m hunting down Clippard valves and boring my girlfriend with plans of cyclotrons and buying [flight suits](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/uniform) with custom badges!.

Anyway,my movie still hasn’t happend (yet) but the SFX are starting to improve greatly and thanks to this community so is my pack.

G’day bnkpro, welcome to the site. Good bunch of blokes here, there’s a wealth of knowledge if you’re starting to build your own GB props.
