Hi everybody, as you remember, last year, I was looking for a proton pack and Kimball contacted me. I paid him with paypal 700 dollars. He never sent me the proton pack. He has not answered me for 5 months, He doesn’t answer to my PM or my e_mails.

I wanted to say that he is dishonest and he gots my 700 dollars kept for a good proton pack replica.

Thanks for listening .

Best regards

Piero

thats fucked man! i dont know what to tell ya otehr than fuck him

Piero, thats horrible news! Did the seller give you a tracking # to prove it was sent or did he just take your money and then split? Did you pay with a credit card thru Paypal? If so you may be able to make a fraud claim. Best of luck

I just hate it when people get ripped off  gives the GB community a bad name :frowning:

He never sent me the proton pack, so I have not the tracking number.

I payd him with Visa Card rechargable, with paypal.

Have you tried reversing the charge on your Visa? or filing a fraud claim?

I had the payment at February 2006, I don’t think the filing can be made because it was made a long time ago.

Thats unfortunate.

Nothing we can do about it though.. hopefully the new system on GBProps will help limit the scammers.. can’t stop them completely though.

OMG!! I’d so be alll over trying to find that guy and give him hell for doing that, that’s alot of money to just take. Try EVERYTHING man, get this guy and get him good!

And that is exactly why there is no buy/selling on this site anymore.

Piero, Do you have a pic of the pack he said he would send you? I want to see if this is a rehashed picture of someone elses or not.

I had the same thing happen through ebay. I bought something using Paypal, and the item never showed up. There is a problem resolution department that PayPal uses. You log your complaint, and PayPal then goes after the shipper and asks for proof of shipment and whatnot. The shippers account is automatically frozen, and they cannot use it anymore until the problem is resolved. In my case, PayPal attempted to contact the shipper, and he/she never replied. This basically gave PayPal the answer they needed (As to the validity of my claim), and they refunded my money back to my Visa. The shipper is then take to collections by PayPal for the money they had to hand out to cover the dipsh*t’s stupidity. There are lots of ways to have your ass covered.

druzzer, how much time had passed before you made the claim? Is there a time limit?

Actually I’d still try making a fraud claim. Technically refunds don’t have to be done until 3 months after the sale, before it becomes fraud. And that’s what I learned directly from a bank.

I waited about 2 months. When I still hadn’t received my package, and the replies from emails that I sent the guy stopped, I contacted PayPal. It took about a week of them trying to contact the person, when they first realized he was being a jerk. The good thing is that it’s a third party that conducts the investigation so it’s impartial. I think it cost me $20, but it is well worth it!!!

The photo of the proton pack that it had to send to me was this:

I have opened a controversy from paypal, I hope that they find this dishonest and they give back 700 dollars to me.

Thanks to all you for your help.

P.S. excuse me for my bad english.

Good Luck Piero, hopefully justice will be done and you get most of your $700 back

All the best!

Paypal has said that this contestation has been sluice because it has been opened more than 45 days after the date of the transaction.
