Under “Objectives” the PKE Meter said to “Search the catacombs for some sign of the mandala node.”. What’s a “Catacomb”?

There are two heavy weights on the side you tether
How? Whenever I try and use the tether on them it makes that sort of ■■■■ noise that it makes when you try to tether something you can’t.
How come it won’t let me use the slime tether on the weights?
Did you tether the bottom of the weights to the floor?
No, no, nothing like that. It just makes a puffing noise when I try to shoot it.. I have no idea why.
No offense or anything, but in addition to asking on forums, have you checked out the walkthrough guides posted on GameFaq or tried to look for the official strategy guide?

You should just have to shoot the tether at the weight then to the round notch on the floor directly below each weight. Sometimes it works better to just tether to the floor. If both of those fail, just try the Capture Stream on the weights.
What if I told you, I’ve tried all these things, and none of them work? I’m sorry, I’m just SO confused. Maybe my game is scratched or glitching?
I’d say either your game is messed up or your doing something wrong. So once you enter that room you go all the way to the other side. Use your meter to scan the center area of the wall. Then on each side there a weight. Tether the bottom of the weight (well anywhere on the bottom part of the weight) and then tether it to the round holder looking thing on the floor directly under the weight. Do that to both sides. If that isn’t working for you then your game must have a bad glitch to it.
The “■■■■” noise indicates you either can’t fire a tether to the object you’re aiming at or your aim isn’t where it needs to be. Do what V30 says and you’ll be good to go

The problem might be my Xbox. I brought the topic up at school, and my locker neighbor told me to bring the game and try on her Xbox, and you’ll never believe it: I could tether the weights. Thanks so much for those of you who tried to help me, and those who put up with my constant questioning about the game. I’m not saying there won’t be more, but just that I understand how obnoxious this could be.
