So I’ve been searching for a good LED bargraph to use in my wand. I’d like to stick to the 30mm spec like in the GBFans kit. The one in the kit, I’ve found the brand and manufacturer, but can’t find just a straight yellow. All the ones this company has listed online are multi-color or solid red/solid green. I know they have a solid yellow unit since the data sheet shows it with a code note.
So, I ask of you, the GBFans community, what would be a good sensible bar graph to use? My requirements really are to stay around the 30mm length and 20+ segments would be nice (for reference, the one the GBFans kit uses is 28 segments.)
Recommend you first check with Doug to see if he can assist. He’s a nice chap and always helpful. He may have some spares or can point you to a source.
I hadn’t messaged Doug about it 'cause I don’t want him to think I’m going to undercut hom or try to go into competition for kit creation. I might have to make 10 of these since my PCB source requires 10 min orders.
We use the Barmeter BL51-4204FX08 displays for the Prop Forge thrower kits though they’re 42mm tall and kind of a pain to get a hold of.
The barmeter bl28-3005sk04y was the one I’ve had my eye on. It’s the one I’m positive Doug uses in his setup, too. It’s just turning into a pain to get ahold of like your bl51.
I contacted barmeter yesterday regarding the 28 segment graph, and the sales rep that responded pointed me to their ebay store. Currently, the 28 segment isn’t up on their site, but after the company returns from their vacation on the 7th, she’ll be offering it to the store.
