# Light Kit stand alone operation wiring question

According to the documentation for the powecell light, toward the end is mentioned “Stand Alone Operation” in which the [ribbon cable](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/ribbon-cable) can be cut and access each wire individually.

This is what is listed for the wire configuration in the ribbon cable

1: +VBattery (7VDCto 14VDC), connectedto “Pos”Standalone useBattery Connector

2: +VBattery (7VDCto 14VDC), connectedto “Pos”Standalone useBattery Connector

3: +VBattery (7VDCto 14VDC), connectedto “Pos”Standalone useBattery Connector

4: GND, connectedto “Gnd”Standalone useBattery Connector

5: GND,connectedto “Gnd”Standalone useBattery Connector

6: GND,connectedto “Gnd”Standalone useBattery Connector

7: Pack Change(Gnd = Change), has a weak10K to 100Kpullup to +5VDC

8: Vent(Gnd = Vent), has a weak10K to 100Kpullup to +5VDC

9: Fire (Gnd = Fire), has a weak10K to 100Kpullup to +5VDC

10: PowerUp/Down(Gnd = PowerDown), has a weak 10K to 100Kpullup to +5VDC

The ones in red are the ones I plan to utilize.

My question is what would be the wiring diagram to make this work? For argument sake, #7 will go into a momentary push button switch and #9 will go to a another push button switch.
