# Making that "thing" under the cyclotron

…or the “Spacer” as they call it.

It’s driving me nuts on how to measure it to size…do you guys just print a big sheet and just trace it? Or do you draw the pattern based on the measurements provided. Hopefully I don’t have to do it free-hand.

One set of instructions say to draw from the right side of the board to the center, etc.

Plus my [cyclotron](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/cyclotron) is going to be probably 10" as opposed to the appx. 11.5 inches on the movie accurate picture?

Protip. Don’t make multiple threads for the same portion of the [Proton Pack](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack). One thread is enough. Also, the Search Function is your best friend.

Woops…sorry. I’ll go head and post anything about my [proton pack](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack) in my initial thread. 🙂

Hi Tony, I just sort of guessed on my spacer, I used Norms idea of using an embroidery ring, that was chopped a little to make it 10" (the side plates max it out to about 11" in the end) the top portion was a bit of guess work really. Here’s my 95% finished pack 😉
