I have already purchased sound and light board that goes to the pack and blaster but how do I make the Matty wand compatible with the equipment I already have. Do I need to tear out lights and switches on Matty wand and replace what I already have to make work???

I’m not sure if that’s possible. You’d have to pretty much destroy the Matty wand, rip out everything inside it, and replace the innards. You’d be better off starting from scratch.

I’ve still yet to make a start on my pack, but when I do, my matty wand will only be a temporary stand in until I build / buy a “proper” wand.

I’m no expert but…

It may be possible to run an amp and speaker from the wand to the pack.

Do all the switches on the Matty wand do something? If there’s one that doesn’t do anything or has a function you don’t care for, you might be able to run a wire from your pack lights to that switch.

Your wand would replace the pack sound board and work the wand lights. The pack lights would function independently. You’d just have to flip two switches when you start up / shut down.

You may be able to use that same switch to activate a light AND sound kit but you’d only get pack on/of lights and sounds.

Don’t use the Matty wand. I’m sorry to be so blunt and negative but you are wasting your time. Once you open it up and mess with it, it never works right again. You are building a pack, have bought light and sound kits, why not just build a real thrower? I think you will ultimately regret putting a Matty wand on a pack you have constructed yourself and you will cause yourself more grief than it is worth.
