> Correct. I also tried to put the code for the neopixels on the mega. It needs to go on the neopixel controller. I would start there and see what that fixes. Check all your wires and make sure they are secure. I had a couple that broke loose from all the moving trying to sort out issues.

Here’s what I have. Metro\_Mini\_NeoPixels sketch loaded to the metro mini, Ghost\_Trap\_Mega loaded to the Mega. The servos twitch, there’s a little hissing thru the speakers on start and resets. Charging circuit works fine. I get 5v everywhere. Nothing on the neopixels. I’m stumped.

So I decided to hit the reset button and uncomplicate things by completing the CD trap first. It was the right idea… the hissing on the speakers was because I crossed the speaker wires (you can see that in the photo above). I was able to diagnose the bargraph ( loose connection of the yellow wire at the JST connector), and got the servos and the pump working. I’ll assemble this as is and take another stab at the Mega Deluxe mod over Christmas break

I opted to not use the protoshield and just mounted everything directly to the mega and mp3 shield, saved me some space in the trap and gave me a few less failure points (my soldering skills are just average…lol).
>
> Side note, I may end up modifying my trap hose and connectors based on this video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqohsdSTQrc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqohsdSTQrc) as I still have some connection issues with the original Charlesworth method…That damn spring inside is hard to isolate and I can’t get it to fit inside the insert that was posted on this thread.

I have returned to the forum for more mods. I had made the rear light fade in and out, modded the hoses like you suggested with Banana pins, very good fit now. I’m not all but done on the pedal LED and like you have only got the original stuff that CD said to use, just wondered how you Modded it and the Code you used? The V3.1? I basically need to know where to wire the black from the foster connector as Pin 5 is currently occupied by the Neopixels

Thanks

Is this possible with the original CD mega? I’ve got the new pedal switch, wired in the LED and now have the blue and black from the Foster Trigger but not sure where to go from there

hey!

Is there a code change needed if replacing the bargraph with a 28 segment bargraph but connecting it in the same way as the small one?

@gpstar Have you considered adding vibration to the trap yet. I am looking to do this. Any suggestions on code/setup?

Where did you find version 3.1? I only found links to 2.2.

I am going to think about implementing the rotary encoder switch to control perhaps the volume, and maybe think about adding another rotary encoder switch to the black knob on the other side of the trap to perhaps adjust the modes (84 mode, 2016 mode, etc).

I cannot wait to print this file. I’ve been struggling with the cable ends and tape. Thank you for sharing

Having issues getting the smoke to travel through the pump. The pump is able to activate the vape and I can see smoke entering the tube, but nothing goes through the air pump. I am putting 100% glycerine in the vape and I am starting to think that’s too thick.

Did adding the air pump to a box quiet it down? I found the foam in a box did not make a difference until I blocked the holes in the box. So maybe the hose will block the hole and the noise inside the pump box.

> On the other side of the pedal, you will need a 5mm RED led with specs between 1.8v-2.2V (most are like this)

The code for function checkRemote() calls for:

pinMode(pedalLED, INPUT\_PULLUP);

digitalWrite(pedalLED, LOW);

This works without the hose if I test directly on the trap pedal, but for some reason the hose is causing issues. I have tested with a multimeter and the hose is not shorting out, but it’s definately when I use the hose that the problem occurs. There is a loss of 0.2 ohms on each wire in the hose and I am assuming this natural resistance is the cause of my problems.

This build looks amazing and i am just starting to wire up my trap but want to make the changes you have done. Is there a wiring diagram anywhere for the mods you have done?
