Hey there! i was browsing for the MT-500s for the last few months and found one for $25.00. Is that a good price? Thanks for helping. It’s appreciated. I would upload a picture, but couldn’t figure out how. When I click Img it just gives me some html. ---

You can generally find them cheaper than that. I used to sell them for $15 shipped, but that was a long time ago. Keep your eyes peeled - you can sometimes catch them as low as $5-10. ---

Of course, it also is advisable to check how much the shipping costs would be… I searched for ages to finally score some MT-500 for a reasonable prices, but more often than not, they were about 10 bucks with 20 $ shipping charges… This was because I could only find MT’s in the US, and live in Finland… The weight of the MT’s brought the international shipping charges to a absurd degree… I finally found what I was after, with a VERY pleasant surprise. Unfortunately I cannot remember the seller anymore.. ---

Yeah, this guy is selling it for $25.00 with $11.00 shipping and that seems really high. Are these still in use or are they an obsolete model? ---

Where are you from? 25$ plus 11$ is REALLY steep price!!! I got mine for 15$ shipped… But, I did order more than one, so the price did drop somewhat. And, the seller gave me a VERY pleasant surprise indeed… But, seriously, if you are from the US, try again, there are sellers on the MT-500 around with prices around 8$. On the Europe, Good luck, I just hope htat someone can help you, I got mine for VERY cheaply. ---

I’m in America and searching eBay for them. Right now, unless i’m not searching the correct keywords, there is only that one available. I typed in motorola mt 500. It would be nice to find one for $15 shipped. I have a spreadsheet going with what I’ve spent so far and it kind of surprised me. Granted it has been collecting pieces here and there… ---

Try MT-500 or MT 500. Leave motorola out. ---

Try searching “MT500” , no space, no Motorola. You’ll have to sort through some other crap, but I see a few more there. MT-500’s are pretty heavy, so shipping is costly. You could ask the seller to not ship the battery, in order to bring the weight down, if you don’t plan on actually using it as a radio. ---

Got some good results, thanks. Are the antennas supposed to be short or long? The equipment tab of gbfans has a page saying it was 2", which seems short. Just curious! Thanks again for all the great help so far. ---

It’s the short one, or stubby as it is called. It is just about 2 inches long. If your MT comes with longer antenna, you can easily shorten it wit clippers. ---

Someone just sold one on ebay at auction and I bid 15 bucks, eventually it went for $50!! It had a stubby antenna and was labelled as a Ghostbusters prop. Not authentic screen-prop, but one for costumes. I’ll keep on looking…Patience is a virtue I, luckily, do have. ---

Nice profit, bro…assuming you didn’t pay 50 bucks for it as well. Ronny, saw the 5 as well, but they don’t have antennas. Damn, I’ve been looking of upwards of $70-$90 because the international postage rates USPS are charging is extortion. I’ve just won an auction where the original postage quoted went from $25 to over $40 dollars (the guy has offered to can it, so I think I’ll have to.) I’m not even looking for a MT500 (although it would be nice, and I would get one if given the chance) but the model closely resembling the one in [the video games](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/games/ghostbusters-the-video-game), which I’m basing my costume on.
