My First Shell and Resin Parts Pack Build (2nd pack build)

Hello All

This is my first propper post, im building a pack with a Studio Creations Shell, Krix Lights and Sounds… and I hope to be using Nick-o-Tron parts for the rest. im building it for Halloween 2012 so i’ll be updating this thread each time i get a new part in the post and upload pics of my progress. oh and i may need some help along the way so i’ll be asking a few questions no doubt.

i built a solid wood pack in 2008 and it looked quite good but this time im going to try and do it better (on a budget)

cheers all,

Sinny

■■■■■■ IT!

my Studio Creations pack shell has arrived in the UK… but i missed the postman :frowning:

I got my Studio Creations Pack…

Got some drilling and screwing to do, and i’m just waiting for my Nick-a-Tron parts.

got the lights and soundboard coming in the post too

Looks nice.

But I think this should have been posted in Equipment → Proton Packs.

Keep up the good work.

You are totally right, how can I move it? Do I contact a mod?

got the pack bolted together…

got the first part added, just waiting on Nick-a-tron’s resin bits…

Just Bought an Alice Pack… Paid £40 inc P+P (is that good?)

added some more parts, as yet none of the parts added are resin. its all been parts i’ve made… not sure if im happy witht the bottom part, looks a bit bulky.

The cosmetic plates could be a tad slimmer, otherwise you are on a roll here!

And there’s suppose to be 15 spacers, I think.

Really do your research on stuff before applying to pack.

The Studio Creation shells have really improved over the years. Looks like a good start!

Thanks AJ,

Don’t worry about the spacers they will come off easy enough, I’m lining up some slimmer ones just incase Nicks resin bumper wont fit over them … I was planning to spread this build out over 2012 but I’ve bought so many parts already it may be finished by march

got my Crix light and sound kit in the post…

and got the hole cut for my power cell LEDs… Drilled it then filed it straight (dont have a dremel)

This is looking really good so far, can’t wait to see more.

Thanks PARANORMAL…

I’ve just bought 1m Spectra strip 64way rainbow cable, the plan is to remove 4 to leave 60

I only need 50cm of it so the other half is going spare… i would like to trade it for a part i dont have…

i need a sheet of pack stickers/decals or spectra clamp (the bit that attaches it to the cyclotron) if anybody would like to trade PM me.

I’ve not posted this in the FOR SALE section because im not selling anything and no money will change hands. (PLUS IT WONT LET ME)

just a straight swap between friends.

If this is against forum rules please let me know, i dont want another strike.

It would be a shame to see it go to waste :(, I dont want to stick it on ebay… i’d rather help somebody out on here.

Just got more parts in the post…

i had 1m of spectra strip and checked and found that 50cm of spectra strip is just enough for one pack, so if you want the other half i’ll trade it for Pack Lables or spectra clamp. NO MONEY WILL CHANGE HANDS… its not for sale… just a swap.

if you want it or have anything else to swap PM me.

On the cosmetic plates, there is another little box that is missing on your pack, and it seems, on your wood pack as well. It is just where the blue and red tubing end up out from the Injector Tubes. Here is a reference pic of it;

Yes I know, The wood pack had no plates at all… never got round to it.

I will add this bit but im waiting for Nick-a-Tron parts to arrive, if the bumper fits over the chuncky plates i’ll keep them, if not then they will all come off and i’ll put thiner ones on and the missing bit.

thanks for the heads up anyway

P.S. as you can see… 54cm is Easy long enough

even has room for more twists…

Spectra Strip has now found a good home, Thanks

COOL!

Found a guy who is selling clear tubing perfect for a booster tube.

60mm OD

54mm ID (3mm thick walls)

Should fit Nicks booster plug nice… I bought 500mm of it, should be enough for 2 booster tubes if I don’t ■■■■ up the cut

Sinny! I bought your first pack off ebay waaaaay back! Small world!

You’re new pack is coming along nicely! Can’t wait to see it finished!

I’m also building my own pack at the moment (not that your first one wasn’t good, I just wanted to see if I could make you myself!)
