New pack - only got pics of MB and spacer, but many other bits ready and waiting, will upload in due course
some more of the bits and bobs I have done (needs a lot of touch ups) all wood, some redwood, some mdf and some ply
by the way, for the trim on the gearbox and power cell - a mousemat for the win!!! lol
for anyone interested…
wiring in for connecting power cell to spacer, but forgot to add access hatch d’oh!
going to spray this before I start bolting it all together. Really need to crack on with the gun
Also very unsure of how I am going to tackle the new bumper!
I realise that probably no one is interested and that it is not ■■■■■ on accurate, but this is the current state of the pack
Coming along pretty quick. I like the host connector you used.
Thanks man, yeah got that years ago for my first pack and liked it so much had to use it for my new one. Somesort of industrial valve. Use it to pass all my wiring up from cyclotron into gearbox and the on to power cell
You can get the correct 3/4 split loom at autozone. 10 feet for like 5 or 6 bucks. It works for the crank gen and to the thrower
damnit, i had no idea. i spent a dollar a foot for it at a surplus store. where does it hide at autozone?
Thanks for the tip, sadly I live in the ■■■■ end of nowhere in scotland and so have never heard of that store. Making do with what i can find here ![]()
Well all pack wiring done, 12v implimented ready for sound board! 1 master switch for the lot and a voltage divider to cater fir the parts that would sooner have 9v. Quite proud of myself actually. Didn’t use anyones exact schematics in the end, instead modified and adapted a few different ones to suit. Just have the pic axe stuff for the gun to go.
Bottom shelf by all the switches and electronic stuff
Looking good so far, bro. I dig scratch builds.
Takes me back to my first build. Keep up the good work. Which plans are you using for your scratch build?
thanks guys, based on stefans plans, with a few alterations for UK sizing ![]()
a few last minute alterations, master switch now on the side of the eda and a 2x8 AA battery pack to be stored inside the booster tube for easy access / replacement
ok this photo is shoddy, there are 1 or 2 paint issues and the n filter is just set there to get an idea (n filter is bottom of a metal tennis ball tube, perfect size!)
Looks great!! Love looking at pack electronics.
then you would love this pack, the inside of the cyclotron is a ■■■■■■ mess of wires lol, neatness was low on the list of priorities. however, like I say it is ready for the new sound board that is being made ![]()
arghhhh just noticed the uneven spacing of the holes on the n filter!!! damn!
