Cut the powercell out! Still needs some sanding around the edges
Made room for the booster tube. There we’re some small nodules going all the way round the front edge so grinded them back with my fake dremel! :mrgreen:
I have also given the shell a first rub down! Man it was hard work. Found some imperfections so will need to fill and sand those now before moving on to start dry fitting everything and drilling the cyclotron holes!

Dont forget my tip for mounting the cylinder above the clippard! (Hole-saw, but don’t cut all the way through the resin, then you can slot the cylinder in and fill it with epoxy glue) surface mounting that thing can be a real bitch!

Had a few hiccups along the way and now it’s properly sat on the Mobo there are a few points where it could match up better, but that kinda makes this pack unique to me so I am cool with it!
Nice! You can always file the motherboard down to match the shell better.

Yeah I did that, just tweaked the mobo to suit, I also cut holes in my pack so my tubes go all the way through the shell, I then hollowed all the tubes and then fibre glassed them all in so there super strong.
Dont forget the 2 tubes on the side that sit on top of each other horizontally have an L bracket near the ends to support them, many forget this part and it does make a difference in strength mate
I will be keeping my eye on this build.

I think i may drill and tap the top of my injectors and then screw a bolt into the injector. I may even drill into the side or the injector and screw both injectors togeather then fill the hole back in with a bit of car filler. and even add the L shaped bracket for extra support.
but as i dont have my shell yet all i can do is think what i can do.
or maybe i could fix ■■■ injectors like this.
1: drill a hole in one of the injector.
2: screw a self tapping screw into the injector.
3: remove the screw and remove the head.
4: now screw the screw (the cut end) back into the injector. using mole grips.
5: now dirll a hole in the same location on the second injector.
6: now screw in a self tapping screw and then remove.
7: now screw the second injector onto the screw thread thats sticking out of the first injector. twist round and round till the gap as gone and injectors are fixed togeather.
now there is no need to fill in a hole

Dam blasted bubble…one of many!
Update!
Managed to find some time to sand down the bubbles and then fill, sand again…sand some more and then add 3 coats of primer! There are a few small bits on the pack where air bubbles have formed during the molding process, but I want to use these as areas to weather and make look used so I decided to leave them in.
Anyway pics below. I did take some of the primeing process but these have loads of shade in them so I will keep those for my own collection!!

Picked up the silver and black paint so hoping for good weather this weekend so I can get the biggest bit done, Then just need to wait for Nick’s new gun kit!
And yes I did spot the unpainted bit on the PPD, this has been rectified!
