I’ve re-vamped my channel this year after completing a mass Ghostbusters project that I’ve been editing and putting together for 2+ years (30+ years of collecting material, the project originally called Operation: Ecto-Plasm). I’m VERY proud to introduce: The Real Ghostbusters Complete Legacy Collection. Officially released on June 8th, 2026 for Ghostbusters Day and in time for it’s 40th anniversary coming this September 13th. The set contains every episode of The Real Ghostbusters, Slimer! and Extreme Ghostbusters, complete, uncut with all episodes at original running length. Not to mention, hours of bonus features to kill an afternoon with. For a rundown of the set, check below, this is from the README.txt included. This has been a dream of mine to do this since I was a late teen, that someday I could put together a set just like this for myself and all the fans. I’d also like to add on a quick thank you to all the folks who have helped me out and pointed me in the right direction for material; you know who you are! This fanset is available by downloading through any torrent client and I ask graciously to maintain seeding for as long as possible. A cold All Hollow’s Eve welcome to every ghost, spectre, goblin, troll, meta-morph, wraith, ghoul, demon, demigod and every sort of ancient, pan-dimensional entities to The Real Ghostbusters Complete Legacy Collection. Your claws have stumbled across the most fan driven, complete collection of everything The Real Ghostbusters, Slimer! and Extreme Ghostbusters you could possibly ask for. Every episode of all series’ have been combed over, re-scaled and re-tuned for a modern streaming experience; from complete commercial bumpers for all episodes, Columbia Pictures end credit tags, to sound/picture correction. This set was not made to discount or dilute the boxsets that have come before it, but, to enhance the experience with a fanbase touch and a plethora of extra features for hours of added entertainment that can only be accomplished by faithful fans and media archivers. If you don’t own the boxset, this is a great way to experience the show once again. This project has been in the works for the better part of 30 ,or so, years and was started in the days of early internet tape trading and personal recordings. As the internet grew, fan bases grew and people shared niche interests, like Ghostbusters, it flourished quickly. With the help of YouTube commercial archives, community groups and supportive Ghostbusters websites and bloggers are the only reason this goal was achieved. So, curl up in the darkest corner of your room, turn the lights out, and throw your TV on and venture back into a time when busting made you feel good! Who ya gonna call? The Real Ghostbusters!

All episodes in 720x480P, 24 and 30 FPS respectively, 2 channel stereo sound, complete with all corresponding commercial bumpers based on original airings from previous personal recordings from various sources. Including all original end credit tags, replacing the SONY logo that is used in modern masters.

All episodes are in original broadcast running times, uncut and formatted based on American TV broadcasts from the show’s original run. For example and fan interest, this includes the “15 minutes episodes” that aired in 1989. All 12 have been carefully returned to their original broadcast running time unlike the copies found on the TimeLife boxset.

Special Note:
The Ghostbusters fanbase has gone back and forth about how many official seasons there are to the show. Universally, it’s been accepted that the show ran for 7 seasons. Although the show began in 1986 and had it concluding season begin in 1991 with the show leaving ABC by September of 1992. By American television standards at the time, any material running between September of one year through to the September of the next, was considered a season. To keep in line with the airdate order of the episodes that have been heavily researched and the extra features I have broken the series down into it’s actual 6 seasons, or years, of original broadcast in North America. The syndicated season and ABC Season #2 ran during the same year of 1987. Therefore, the syndicated season is being marked as ‘A’ and the ABC season as ‘B’. All episodes appear in folders in their original air date order EXCEPT for the syndicated season. Due to character stories and appearances the production order is a better choice for continuity sake. (Since Season #6 only includes 4 episodes it shares a folder with Season #5 thus grouping together the 20 episodes that had the Korean animation makeover and the Chase-Rucker background score.)
Please remember that a lot of material came from different time frames of the show and in varying quality due to either the original material, the VHS/BETA tapes used when recording and the uploaded files by other users and their sources. Not all material will have the highest quality picture and sound. The extra features are to be a treat to relive and a way to keep them archived regardless of their quality. I ask that you respect them for what they are and the work that has gone into them, with many hands in some cases.
