My team bought these fro Dragon*Con,we spliced into the speaker’s wiring and were able to wire in enough wire for the speak to be mounted on the MoBo and the main controller be on our belts.
Cool. We considered a uniform solution, but having it all come on and go off with the pack just seemed much easier.
Our belts already adre quite full of stuff, and once we each add a trap and trap peddal, our belts will be probably over full. Having the control up on the shoulder strap was pretty easy to use and accessible. I had to create a general operating hum sound, and organise the sounds on the buttons in a logical manner.
Our controller board is disguised as the Belt Gizmo,and the main piece that the SD card,controller and speaker plugs into was converted to a Lifeguard,so everything has it’s own place on our belts,I’m not sure if you got to see it in person at Dragon or not Garee.
If you disguised it that well, odds are I didn’t even notice it. One things we realised when we got back.. to took lots of pictures of people, buyt almost none of anyone else’ s gear at all.
I’m still hoping that pic surfaces where everyone with movie packs were lined up.
