I wanted to say say hello to all my fellow GB fans! I have been a lifelong GB fan and toy collector. I still have a few of the Ghostbusters toys from my childhood like the Firehouse HQ and the Ecto-1. I customized my Ecto-1 way back when I was 12 or so using very simple tools. It has a broken rear door and is yellowed. Recently I finally decided I wanted a replacement for it. I on the local auction sites and bought one which looked like it was in a great shape, but once I received it, one of the white fins on the hood was broken off. So I looked for another which I am currently in a trade with and the guy showed me detailed closeup pictures of all sides. It looks like I finally found a really nice Ecto-1 which is also complete, but some stickers are peeled off, most notably the rear door license plate, rear window and no-ghost logo. I hope to try to find replacements for it online. With the two Ecto-1’s I have left I want to make a custom that’s more movie accurate as far as the toy limitations would let it with working lights and sounds. Just recently I started to look for pictures of custom [Kenner](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/real-ghostbusters/kenner-10410) Ecto-1’s for inspiration. That’s how I came across this forum and I was blown away with how many amazing customs people made and showed off here! I especially liked the customs of CAPT a lot. I have visited this website many, many times throughout the years as reference to the toys. I can’t believe I haven’t checked out the forum sooner! I’m glad to be here! 🙂
