Northern Virginia Ghostheads

Still looking forward to the Air and Space museum.

Got my pack done and finishing the thrower. For display props, I am also working on a Ghostbusters clean up crew kit complete with caution ‘Slime’ signs, a slime vacuum and a few other items. Goldenhawk, would you have a problem with these being at that event?

Cheers

Sebastian

BTW, I love fan fiction. Good luck with your stories Erutan

Erutan LIVES!

Bring them. I’ll be requesting a display table this year. I think exo95er will have a Vigo portrait. Since I finished a junior proton pack for my son to wear, I’ll be placing a slime blower on the table. I may let a few people try it on for pics.

I may put my current pack on the table for display, but not for people to try on. I’m currently designing a new custom pack for my proton cannon.

My story, which will be multiple ones connected, will have some elements of the first Ghostbusters movie. But not a lot. And it’s told from my character’s POV. And to top things off, the Ghostbusters have powers.

Additional Japanese Yokai will be as follows. More as I do the research.

Nurikabe

Ittan-momen

Bakeneko

Amikiri

Okamuro

Gasadokuro

Mokumokuren

If you’re curious about their info, let me know.

And I also can’t wait for the A&S Museum.

Air and Scare is a blast. I love the parents and the older crowd who remember the GBs from the 80s. But, there’s a good number of kids that know about the GBs thanks to the video game. It was funny when a couple of kids dressed as ghosts hid behind their parents when pvtzombi and I threw out a ghost trap.

Long time GB fan reporting in from Manassas VA

How’s it going???

It’s going. Thanks to Colin, my new trap is done. It looks 10x better than the first one I made. I guess my son can have the old one to go with his junior pack.

Hey, anyone want to join exo95er and myself for the Great Pumpkin Event in Reston? It’s on Saturday, October 9.

exo95er, are you going to run the 5K race? In full gear? The reason I ask is that you run in the MC Marathon.

I’m having a football party for my favorite team the next day.

Things going good here. I was wondering if any in NoVA has built a Proton pack. I could use the help when i comes time to build mine. I just recently contacted Alkaline about buying one of his shells. When I am able to pay form it(which will be soon) I’ll be driving out to Pittsburgh to pick it up. When that time comes anyone wanna ride shotgun?

I’ll do the 5K in the flight suit, and then wear full gear in the Kid’s pumpkin dash. I just ordered a flight suit for my soon-to-be 2 year old who’s going to wear the toy RGB pack.

I built a pack and prepping to build a second one. Haven’t found time yet. Last year, there was a build day with the R2-D2 club in the area, great time to share ideas, tools, and space.

Well space and tools I have. I just would like to be able to chat with someone who has done this before. Heck, maybe get involved in a group of local fans.

If and when you decide to start building, contact pvtzombi. He’s been looking for someone to help him open up and repair the power source in his pack. This may give you and inside look on how a pack is built. He’s got a really nice pack made of wood with Hyperdyne Electronics inside.

Poor me…I’m stuck with my resin pack that was made at least 5 years ago. I think I’ll make some customized additions to it.

We’ll be stopping in Richmond in the evening on September 6th, taking pictures of airplanes!

Greetings Northern Virginia Ghostheads. I am currently in the Army, and will be for the concieveable future, but I am originally from Culpeper VA. Which is about as far south as you can be an still be considered Northern VA.

Heck I remember when we had to wait for the next edition of the phone book to find out what part of the state we would be included into, Central or Northern, lol.

Seriously though its great to be here.

SPJ,

As one of the most western members of NOVA GB, I bid you welcome. Hopefully our website will be enhanced soon, but the Winchester branch has made several appearances over the past two months at local events.

Cheers

Hi all, I am from Manassas VA currently and I would like to network on here and ask questions regarding getting a costume together. I Larp extensively and am no stranger to cosplay. I am a bit overwhelmed by the complexity of the props though. I see people discussing proton packs and am interested in hearing more. So, hi!

So, nobody here? Are any of the Northern Virginia Ghostbusters still around?

Good question Selrik. To tell the truth Virginia has always had a problem with getting a Franchise started and actually having it stick.

Though there is a group on Facebook seems to be doing okay. Give them a try.

Its under Virgina Ghostbusters.

Then there is this one site that hasnt been updated since 2005:

Good luck.
