I thought I’d seen someone do their GB Cable twist like the Omni cover, but I can’t find any pics after looking on here. I’ve got a SoCal Cable I was thinking about doing it with, has anyone tried it?

Tried what exactly? Twisting it tighter?

Yeah. Most people never twist their packs all the way to the bottom like the OMNI pack, usually only like the one Ray has on during the Sedgewick sequence.

yup, waht nick said. clamp and twist . . . .hard.

keep in mind that the cables had small white zip ties every few inches to keep the cable twisted up. to get that tight twist, first clamp, then twist, then add zip tie, twist more, add another zip tie and so on.

Ugh… I decided to go with the standard twist. After heating it it still wasn’t bending easily and the rainbow wires started to separate. Thank god the twisting hides it.

That’s why when I made mine, I only added the clear space between wire sets about 2 inches into the twist. Makes it much easier to twist it all the way up.
