To my knowledge,the only person that has really worked out a working opening mechanics system is Hyperdyne Labs.So I doubt he would release his plans. ---

The easy way would be to do it the way thr RGB trap opend. Just make your pedal a soet of pump that upon stomping would press air into the chanber of the trap and open your doors. ---

What about a motor form an old Knex kit? I’m sure you could rig up some of those bars and gears to open the door if you extend the wires to the trap pedal. ---

I was just on Hyperdyne and I notesed that the doors have a curved gear-like thing atached to a moter with another gear on it. Now forget about the $35.00 controll set because I have a special push button that will allow me to reverse the charge to the motors making the doors open or close. Once I get the doors to work Im thinking about putting in a strobe light that will activate when the doors are fully open. Itll be soooo cool 8) ---

Hey Willy, another place to look would be a catalog for R/C cars and things of that nature. Look for solenoids or servos. I think that is what I’ll end up using… The only thing I don’t like about the hyperdyne kit, is that the doors don’t open as far as they do in the movie. You know what would be cool, is to use some kind of electro magnet. And reverse the polerity to open and close the trap. But I don’t know how feasible that would be. ---

Electromagnitism is a goo idea but I think that would make the trap open to fast. same with solinoids plus they only extend like a third of an inch. your best bet is witha clapper solinoid and a smell mettle bar. ---

My trap dose open and close with the coaxl cable we also have a switch on the side that works the trap if you really want to know Ill post it. ---
