Hi guys!

I’m working on my first pack build and it’s all going well, except for the [booster tube](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/booster-tube) which has me puzzled.

I understand that the plugin should sit nicely in the tube, inset, and look something like [http://cl.ly/image/2q1H2i3H0j0Z](http://cl.ly/image/2q1H2i3H0j0Z) when finished.

I bought the tube and plug from the shop on gbfans and as pictured here: [http://cl.ly/image/3z0z3b2r3Z0V](http://cl.ly/image/3z0z3b2r3Z0V) the plug base is larger than the tube itself.

My question is, would it be best to trim the base of the plug to fit inside the tube, or is the tube of incorrect dimensions? I’m thinking the plug will sit atop the bolt connecting the tube to the pack - is this correct also?

Thanks for any tips 🙂

The PVC tube is a bit smaller than the “correct” aluminum size but it isn’t really noticeable. Just sand down the plug until it fits inside the tube. You have choices with securing the plug. Glue. Bolt. Set screw. Friction. Some builders use the plug & tube to hide things like batteries.

I am planning on hiding the battery pack in there so I reckon I’ll bolt it to the tube.

Thanks!

I did that on my build. I just took some hot glue and made a lip on the inside of the tube at the depth I wanted the plug to sit and walah. It worked.
