Pre-board upgrade I new how to embed a youtube video in a post, but I can’t figure it out now (I have tried the search).
Using the bbcodes simply displays [youtube]url[youtube] --at least for me.
Can anyone give me guidance?

This is something that for some reason I still haven’t figured out. I know that the url area is supposed to be replaced with the series of letters/numbers that are in the url, but I still can’t get a youtube video to show in any of my posts for some reason.
When I figured out how to do it yesterday it was:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=video ID
Like using the ID in the shortened YouTube link
So to embed:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGDmBLAPikU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGDmBLAPikU
It used to use the Flash code on older forums I was on:
[flash=]full URL[/flash]
It uses just the video ID, like in the shortened “youtu.be” link
