I see lots of references to [proptopia](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/fans/websites/proptopia) on here.I’m just wondering,for those of us that only hang out here at gbfans are we missing alot of info/products for sale by not being a member there too?Does most of the pertinent info get posted here also?Just want to make sure I’m not missing out on valuable info/parts. ---

The for sale sections are almost identical. [Proptopia](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/fans/websites/proptopia) is mainly busters oriented but also has alot of info on props from other movies, Stargate, Star Trek, etc. Like here, alot of people post their pack progress pics and some event photos. It is strictly a message board, no photo galleries for reference and the like, only what gets included in a post. ---

not too much different than here…colors are different…not near as many sections in there…a much smaller community… ---

:lol: The For Sale sections are usually similar. Any big objects are being sold both here and there, but GBFans probably has more generic parts for sale. ---

Tried to join that forum several times. Frankly, we’re a small community of prop fans regardless of subject/movie, and any forum that feels the need to be that exclusive, I don’t feel the need to be a part of. There’s plenty of open and friendly communities like GBProps to be a part of. JMHO ---

Honestly, despite off-and-on efforts to rejuvenate it, [Proptopia](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/fans/websites/proptopia) is little more than a ■■■■■■■ match and soapbox these days. That’s not to say I endorse the holier-than-though attitude some people who are unable to join have taken toward it, though… ---
