I have a question relating to the proton gun and how it hangs on the belt. _\*_ _What kind of “clip” goes on the underside of the gun that allows you to hang it from your belt?\*_ I have seen what it looks like, but I don’t know what it is called and where to find it. I have seen people attach a “O” ring to the handle of the gun, but I have seen those clips that makes them hang much better. Thanks. SB59 ---

The movie packs either used bent wire or a cotter pin-like piece that nobody’s been able to source yet. The hook on GBFreek83’s pack looks like a picture hanger with the top cut off. You can get them at Wal-Mart, Lowe’s, etc. for peanuts. This is a pic of a wreath hanger; the picture hanger I’m thinking of is somewhat similar in shape but obviously a lot smaller. although i do have to say that i dont trust the [s-hook](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/s-hook). i always feel like its going to come out of the o-ring. but mine hangs funny and im not sure why ---

Y’know…I’ve seen those reference pics at least a dozen times and I’ve never realized it was a bent [S-hook](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/s-hook). Genius! You know what I immediately think of when I see that hook? Those metal puzzles that have two pieces of wire fastened together, and the challenge is to separate the pieces without bending them. You’ve probably seen them at Cracker Barrel. ---

I have a quick question for anyone who’s done this: When hanging the proton gun from your belt, how do you do it? more specifically, what type of hardware do you attatch to the gun and where? ---

I took the belt clip off an old 25 foot tape measure and screwed it to the bottom of my pack. It should hang from my belt nicely.
