I see a pie tin pictured in one of the early build pics… Was it your intention in the early stages to use the pie tin for the [cyclotron](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/cyclotron), or was it just for reference? I’m trying to decide if I want to go with a tin or make one out of MDF like the rest of the pack. I’m just worried about the weight. Any thoughts? By the way, AMAZING pack. It’s my main inspiration/reference point for my build. Good work. ---

Very Nice Pack!!! I was actually thinking about making mine out of wood also… about how much does the pack weigh?? ---

It is an amazing pack, but I have put it on and it is heavy. Granted, you can wear it for a while and it is ok, but if you are going to be spending all day at a con or something similar, you will need breaks. Usually when we are all together we switch around packs to share the load 😛 Again, the pack is amazing, and also the other good thing about the wood is that is can take a hit, also, I believe they did drop the pack once, but it didn’t maintain that much damage, and since it was all wood, it was fairly easy to replace the parts. ---
